Endodontic treatment is performed comfortably using local anesthesia. There is no need to alter any medications you normally take. You may eat normally prior to your appointment.

It may help to minimize post-operative inflammation if you take Advil or Aleve two hours prior to a non-surgical procedure. Please call our office if you have any questions pertaining to medication you take or need to pre-medicate prior to your appointment. Those patients that require premedication before dental cleanings due to a heart murmur will also need to premedicate for root canal therapy.
